Using a "rolling style" which will be explained by Mr. Vela, I will have three groups of student go to different stations in the room and create shots for a mini-portfolio.
Station 1 -- back corner by the window. Shoot a medium close up, using the sun as a key light.
Station 2 -- opposite corner of the room. Place your subject in a chair. Create two lighting set ups:
A. a medium shot using back lighting and a key light.
B. close up using a key and a fill only
Station 3 -- by Mr. Vela's desk.
Create a deep focus composition with a subject in the near foreground and one in the far background. Try to make the shot as deep as possible. Some camera may let you do this easily, some may not. Do the best you can with the camera you have.
When you are done, every student should have four shots for their portfolio. Hand the chips to me and I will save them for you to download to create a slideshow on Wednesday. Today we will view them as a class.
