Key terms:
1. bird's eye view -- shooting from an overhead perspective, above your subjects, from a "bird's point of view."
2. worm's eye view -- shooting low to the ground, below your subject, from a worm's point of view.
3. rule of thirds -- divide the frame into thirds. Place your subject or subjects along the dividing lines and at the intersection of lines
4. leading lines -- using lines that run in depth, or from the back to the front, or front to the back, to provide guidance for your shot compositions.
5. natural frames -- find frames in the natural world and put your subject or subjects inside of them. Put them inside the diagonal of a chain link fence, or use the branches of a tree to frame them.
Your tasks for today.
I. Look on google images and find two examples of each of the five shots we profiled today. Put them in a Powerpoint presentation and e-mail them to me when you are done.
II. The groups who did not complete their sets of shot scale photos from Monday need to complete those today.
III. Extra credit -- those who finished I and II should shoot a set of shots that show examples 1-5 from today's lesson.
