Today, we'll begin the process of studying video news production.
Warmup: Go to the PBS News Hour video site:
http://www.studentreportinglabs.com/tutorials.
Next, come to the semi-circle and we'll create production pairs. Let's find out who wants to be a producer and who is more comfortable as a grip, or photographer.
When you make pairs, I want each of you to pick up a set of worksheets. Go to a computer and as a TEAM, watch videos 1 and 2 and fill out the worksheets that correspond to each short video. Turn them in when you are done.
25 minutes before the bell I'll bring the teams together and we'll answer questions about setting up. In this case, imagine that you're interviewing me for a story. We'll use the worksheets and proceed from there.
