VO-SOTs stand for Voice Over (VO), and sound-on-tape (SOTs)
Other key terms -- Toss, the anchors read a lead-in and then "toss" the story to a reporter on camera on site.
Standup -- The reporter reads the VO portion of the VO-SOT live on camera, usually from the story site.
SOT -- a sound byte, a short on-tape interview with a subject of a story, usually 5-15 seconds. You may have more than one SOT in a story.
