Today, you will begin your own t-shirt project, using a technique that's common in Photoshop, using filters to fragment an image.
Here is a t-shirt of the footballer Mesut Ozil, the former Real Madrid and current Arsenal player. He has a tattoo of a lion on his arm and uses that as his image, so he licensed an artist in Philadelphia to make a t-shirt of him as half-man, half-lion. The artist, DaWit, used Photoshop to create this design:
the technique is called crystallize. You select a portion of the face you want to crystallize, in this case Ozils' face WITHOUT the eye, and the lion's head. You then do this to the selected area: Filter>Pixellate>crystallize. You then use the slider to distort your face.
