Today, you are going to create a project that uses some of the things we've done recently. Filters, layouts and basic designs. You're also going to use a 3-D effect in Photoshop that will let you create a soda called "Goal."
Here are some examples:
Here are some examples:
How do make this: 1. download this image onto your computer: 2. Copy the image onto your clipboard and open a new project in Photoshop. Paste this photo into it. 3. using the quick selection tool, select the two players, numbers 8 and 14. Copy them onto you clipboard. 4. Close the selection by hitting the red button in the upper left. When you are asked if you want to save the project, choose "don't save." 5. Open a new project in Photoshop. Paste your selection of the two players into that new project. Your layers bar should show a white background and layer 1 with the two players you copied in step three. 6. Highlight layer one and choose a layer effect, one of those that you did in the last project, where you created four versions of the same person. The style is up to you. 7. Create a new layer and color it in a way that complements the colors in the filter you applied to the players. You can have a solid color, using the paint bucket tool, or use a gradient to change the color across the layer. When you have created the colored layer, move the layers so the players' filtered layer is above the colored layer. 8. Create a new layer. This is your text layer. Choose a font, and make the size 200 to 300 pixels. Choose a color that complements the background color, and make the text VERTICAL, so it runs up and down a size of the project. Move this layer so it is at the top of the stack. 9. When you are done, highlight all three layers you have created in your layers box. Hold the shift key when you click them. When you have all three layers selected, make them a 3-D soda can. Go into your menu bar, and follow these steps 3D > New Shape from Layer > Soda can. 10. Photoshop will create a soda can with your image wrapped on it. Save this project as a jpeg and e-mail it to me. |
