Using our art supplies, design a magazine ad that advertises you. Non-digital.
The Rules
The Rules
- Scan our magazine collection to study what magazine ads look like. (Please do not cut or tear anything out of the magazines.)
- HINT: See if you can use your nickname as the basis for a graphic that uses the letters of the name as facial components. On the left are two examples from album covers for the groups XTC and Toto.
- You may pick a few ads in particular from which to draw inspiration for how you arrange your ad.
- Use white 9" x 12" paper as the foundation for your design. Use it in landscape format, with the 11'' side as the width and the 8.5'' as the height.
- You can use any of the available materials to complete your ad: markers, colored pencils, crayons, rulers, compasses, colored paper, scissors, glue.
- You are the star. You are the one you are advertising. Your name should be large and clear.
- Add text and images which are all about you.
- Make it colorful!
- Try to use color contrast in this ad. Can you incorporate proximity, or repetition into your logo? Alignment?
