Last week we looked at balance, at symmetry and asymmetry. We examined how to create balance in a shot.
This week, we'll look at size and proportion. How big should your photos and text be? Where do you ut them on the page to create maximum effect?
Start by looking at the items on the table. I have business cards, magazines and you can look up posters or ads on line.
Your job today is an analyze each piece. How are these items working? What is emphasized.
Do you think these items are effective?
In a powerpoint exercise, I want you to:
1. On the first slide, write you assessment of the business card and of ONE magazine ad. Tell what the ad is for.
2. For each, describe the size of your object, and then the size of the text in it and the objects or images in them.
Part 2:
On a new slide, using only TEXT, create an effective business card for yourself. Think of the photoship slide as having te same dimensions as a card.
